Tribological Behavior of Powder Metallurgy Processed Carbon Nanotube Reinforced Alsi Functionally Graded Materials

Tribological behavior of powder metallurgically processes AlSi-MWCNT functionally graded materials was apparatus with pins on discs examined. Using a Taguchi design experiments, the signal-to-noise ratio, analysis variance, and an orthogonal array were all used to determine best testing parameters. Analysis revealed wear loss occurs due increase in load sliding distance reduced MWCNT increased content FGM. The composites 1wt% FGM exhibited both excellent resistance friction coefficients. Wear mechanisms help understanding morphology worn surfaces. mechanism is dictated by delamination layer other oxide layers. Overall, findings showed that are regarded as remarkable industries where wear-resistant components crucial, such aerospace automotive engineering
